The Sustainability Awards 2025 by the Jewellery World Awards (JWA) have spotlighted seven forward-thinking enterprises whose work exemplifies the jewellery industry’s evolving commitment to environmental, social, and ethical progress. Hailing from China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, the US, and Vietnam, the awardees will be celebrated during the Fair Reception at Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) — the industry’s premier B2B sourcing event.
Organised by Informa Markets Jewellery, the awards span five categories: Environmental Stewardship, Community Catalyst, Tech for a Sustainable Future, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Sustainability Leadership. This year’s judging panel, comprised of sustainability leaders and industry experts, commended the exceptional quality of entries and the tangible impact made by the winners.
The 2025 JWA Sustainability Award Recipients:
Environmental Stewardship: Hari Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd (India) – Recognised for large-scale environmental initiatives, including Mission River, which revived over 160 water bodies, and Mission 102030, aiming to plant 10 million trees by 2030.
Community Catalyst: Shop LC (US/UK) – Honoured for its “Your Purchase Feeds” programme, which has already provided over 54 million meals, with an ambitious goal of serving one million school meals daily by 2040.
Tech for a Sustainable Future: Shenzhen Kinghood Jewelry Manufacturing Co Ltd (China) – Lauded for its AI-driven C2M customisation platform that boosts efficiency, reduces inventory costs, and meets personalised consumer needs.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Nanjing Baojie Technology Co Ltd (China) – Celebrated for embedding gender equality into company culture, with women holding 70% of management positions and high participation in skill-development programmes.
Sustainability Leadership (Joint Winners):
Legor Group SpA (Italy) – Commended for producing jewellery materials using 100% recycled precious metals within a verified Chain of Custody.
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company – PNJ (Vietnam) – Noted for outstanding ESG initiatives and inclusion in the Vietnam Sustainability Index.
Valentine Silver International (India) – Praised for integrating sustainability into core business strategy, from upcycling silver dust to creating eco-friendly industrial spaces.
Award organisers emphasised that these companies demonstrate how purpose-driven strategies can align with profitability, setting new benchmarks for the global jewellery trade. The winners will also participate in the Sustainability Heroes Panel Series at JGW, sharing insights into their transformative practices.
