The Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) hosted a dynamic three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program in Mumbai from July 31 to August 2, 2025. Designed to uplift and strengthen skill-building in the imitation and artificial jewellery segments, the workshop marked another step in GJSCI’s ongoing commitment to workforce development in the craft sector.
This curated session welcomed 12 trainers from across Odisha, as well as Thane and Kolhapur districts in Maharashtra. Tailored around the job roles of Imitation Jewellery Maker and Artificial Jewellery Maker, the training offered participants a unique opportunity to deepen their practical understanding while gearing up to mentor future artisans.
A standout moment from the workshop was a live demonstration segment, where trainers intricately crafted traditional jewellery pieces, reinforcing their learnings through hands-on application.
Special recognition was given to Master Trainer Sangeeta Arun Patil, whose engaging approach and expert instruction were instrumental in making the program both educational and impactful.
