Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong welcomes thousands of global buyers
The jewellery world descends on Hong Kong today as Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) opens its dynamic marketplace spanning six sourcing experiences at two world-class venues.
The world’s No.1 jewellery buying destination hosts 3,000+ exhibitors from 45 countries and regions, transforming Hong Kong into the epicentre of the global jewellery trade for seven high-intensity days.
“Today marks the start of the most comprehensive B2B sourcing experience in the jewellery trade show calendar,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “JGW’s ‘Six Shows, One Trip’ approach delivers exceptional efficiency for buyers navigating the entire jewellery ecosystem.”
Starting from today until Friday (19 September), trade buyers are hitting the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) show floor for three co-located fairs, each distinguished by their specific focus on precious materials. These are JGW: Gemstones (Halls 3, 6, 8 & 10), JGW: Diamonds & Fine Gems (Halls 5, 7, 9 & 11) and JGW: Pearls+ (Halls 1 & 2).
Kicking off on Wednesday (17 September) and running through Sunday (21 September), three shows dedicated to finished jewellery, packaging solutions, tools & equipment and jewellery industry-related technologies will take over the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), namely JGW: Hong Kong (Hall 1), JGW: International (Halls 3 & 5) and JGW: Fine Design (Grand Hall).
Meanwhile, design trend forecasting takes centre stage at SEASONS | Autumn Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair, which will be held concurrently with JGW from 17 to 21 September in Halls 5BC of the HKCEC. Recognised as the premier gathering in Fall for the fashion jewellery and accessories sector, the B2B buying event presents exclusive showcases including MODE by SEASONS Ι Autumn powered by Fashion by Informa and the Tomorrow Aisle. The latter is a special section that brings together four education institutions, namely the returning Pro-Act Training and Development Centre (Jewellery) of Hong Kong, alongside first-time participants Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangzhou Huashang College’s School of Jewelry and the Jewellery Institute of Taiwan. These curated displays offer buyers access to the latest collections of exhibitors and creations of next-generation design talent, providing insights into Spring/Summer 2026 trends and beyond.
JGW arrives at precisely the right moment – offering a platform where innovation, insight and opportunity converge. During periods of market uncertainty, strong relationships become our most precious asset. These face-to-face interactions allow us to strengthen partnerships, gather real-time market intelligence and make confident, informed decisions that will carry our businesses forward,” Lau continued.
“I encourage all attendees to fully immerse themselves in the JGW experience. Explore the exhibits, engage in special events and most importantly, cultivate connections that can transform today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities.”
Providing trade buyers access to products and innovations that could potentially help them drive business success, JGW offers more than exhibits. Among the marketplace’s top attractions are:
Sublime Shine: Metal Innovations in the Art of Jewellery Located at Stand 3M260 of the HKCEC, Sublime Shine is a Jewellery & Gem Knowledge Community exhibit centred on gold, platinum, silver and other metals in fine jewellery creation. This experiential zone is supported by Industry Partners World Gold Council (WGC) and Platinum Guild International (PGI), Premium Sponsor Yuen Kee Bullion Company Limited, and Sponsors Osmium-Institut Germany and Hatta New World Company Limited. The exhibition reveals the enchanting world of jewellery metals through 10 distinct stations exploring their ancient origins, cultural significance and the blend of artistic vision and scientific precision that defines the craft of metalsmithing. Live goldsmithing and granulation demonstrations are going to be conducted twice daily.
Gold Jewellery Pavilion Complementing Sublime Shine is an expanded Gold Jewellery Pavilion featuring 40+ exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. This section serves as the premier destination for discovering innovative trends and technological advancements in gold jewellery and accessories manufacturing. A special highlight is WGC’s Hard Pure Gold showcase, making its debut appearance at JGW. Beyond this dedicated area, gold jewellery exhibitors are strategically positioned throughout the show floor, providing buyers with valuable opportunities to discover diverse collections and forge new business connections.
Sustainability Awards 2025 by JWA & Panel Series The Sustainability Awards 2025 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards) recognises companies championing environmental stewardship, social responsibility and governance excellence. A Recognition Ceremony honouring seven Award Recipients and 13 Finalists will take place on 17 September at the Grand Foyer of the HKCEC. Complementing the Awards night is the Sustainability Heroes Panel Series, where Winners and Finalists will share their key realisations and innovative practices from their sustainability journeys.
Milestone Events & Learning Opportunities JGW hosts landmark industry gatherings, including the ASEAN Gems and Jewellery Trade Association (AGJA) Conference – the first of its kind in Hong Kong. Additionally, JGW is presenting 17 other sessions, presentations and seminars covering topics ranging from sustainable business practices and jewellery metals to diamonds, coloured gemstones, jewellery design and consumer trends.
