The Jewellers Association, Jaipur, one of the country’s oldest and most established trade bodies, has announced its newly elected committee for the 2026–2028 term. Founded in 1927 in the historic Johri Bazaar, the association has long served as a central voice for Jaipur’s gemstone and jewellery trade, representing one of India’s most globally recognised manufacturing and export hubs.
The newly appointed leadership reflects continuity as well as a renewed focus on industry coordination. Raju Agarwal Mangodiwala has taken charge as President, with Govind Prakash Agarwal appointed Vice President. Ajay Godha assumes the role of Secretary, while Govind Kumar Gupta will serve as Treasurer. Mahaveer Daga has been named Joint Secretary.
The committee also includes Ashok Maheshwari as JAS Convenor, Mahendra Bothra as Convenor Broker, Kamal Kumar Gupta as Janupyogi representative, and Prakash Kumar Baid as JAGS representative, forming a broad-based leadership structure that spans key operational and trade functions.
Over the decades, the association has played a significant role in organising trade activity, facilitating dialogue between stakeholders, and supporting Jaipur’s position as a global centre for coloured gemstones, diamond processing, and handcrafted jewellery. Its influence extends across regulatory engagement, exhibition participation, and industry standard-setting, making it a critical institution within the Indian gem and jewellery ecosystem.
The formation of the new committee comes at a time when the trade is navigating price volatility, evolving consumer demand, and increasing global competition. With Jaipur continuing to hold strategic importance in exports, particularly in coloured gemstones and artisanal jewellery, the association’s leadership is expected to focus on strengthening trade alignment, enhancing transparency, and supporting business growth across segments.
As the new term begins, the committee is expected to build on the association’s legacy while responding to the changing dynamics of the global jewellery market, ensuring that Jaipur remains a competitive and influential player in the years ahead.
