This enhanced capacity now enables the company to generate approximately 1.12 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, resulting in an estimated 944-ton reduction in carbon dioxide emissions each year.
With this expansion, Ankit Gems has increased its dependency on solar energy from 50% to 75% of total operational energy needs. The company’s solar infrastructure is installed at its LEED Platinum Certified diamond manufacturing facility in Surat, which has been steadily integrating clean energy and eco-efficient practices to reduce operational dependence onconventional energy sources.
“The increase in our solar capacity is a step forward in our commitment to responsible manufacturing. It not only reduces our environmental footprint but also strengthens our long-term energy resilience,” said Mr. Priyansh Shah - Director, Ankit Gems.
Over the years, Ankit Gems has invested consistently in renewable energy and green building standards, reinforcing its position as one of the few large-scale diamond manufacturers actively implementing sustainability at scale.
With global attention growing around sustainable manufacturing and environmental responsibility, Ankit Gems’ move reinforces the industry’s broader shift toward cleaner production practices — where environmental stewardship complements product excellence.
