

Hyderabad-based pearl jewellery house Sri Jagdamba Pearls is entering a new phase of national expansion with the launch of two upcoming stores in Cochin and Visakhapatnam, extending its legacy beyond its established southern strongholds.
Founded in 1924, the brand has built its reputation on craftsmanship, authenticity, and trust, with a strong retail presence through four stores in Hyderabad and two in Bengaluru. The addition of Cochin and Vizag marks a strategic move into high-growth coastal markets known for evolving luxury consumption and appreciation for heritage-led jewellery.
The expansion follows detailed market assessments that identified both cities as promising destinations for premium pearl jewellery. According to the company, the new stores are expected to contribute 10–15 percent of incremental revenue in the first year of expansion, reinforcing the brand’s growth momentum.
Sri Jagdamba Pearls’ broader roadmap includes scaling its retail network to 20–25 outlets across India over the next two to three years, spanning key metros and emerging urban markets. The brand attributes its steady growth to strong customer loyalty, with nearly 30 percent repeat purchases, driven by personalised in-store experiences, customisation options, and robust after-sales support.
Commenting on changing consumer preferences, Avanish Agarwal, Managing Partner, noted that buyers today increasingly seek certified quality, ethical sourcing, and contemporary design alongside heritage. He added that the brand’s ability to blend traditional pearl expertise with modern aesthetics has helped it stay relevant across generations.
The company’s current portfolio spans over 2,000 designs, covering pearls and lab-grown diamond jewellery across everyday wear, bridal collections, statement pieces, and premium gifting.
Deepak Kumar, Head of Retail Expansion & Marketing, said the January 2026 entry into Kerala and Andhra Pradesh is designed to deepen customer engagement through immersive store formats and an expanded assortment, while also strengthening the brand’s narrative in new regions.
