GJSCI organised the JOSH convocation on 16 January 2026 at CFC, SEEPZ, celebrating the successful completion of training for the 6th batch of specially abled and the 12th batch of regular candidates.

The event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, Mr. Mayur Mankar, IRS, Joint Development Commissioner, SEEPZ SEZ, who addressed the candidates and shared valuable thoughts on the importance of skills, discipline, and confidence in building a strong career. The Chief Guest, Mr. Amit Pratihar, Managing Director, Gemological Institute of America (GIA), motivated the candidates with his inspiring words, highlighting the importance of quality, professionalism, and continuous learning in the industry. Both the dignitaries appreciated GJSCI’s work in creating equal opportunities for specially abled and regular candidates through structured, industry-focused training programmes.

The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Rajeev Garg, Executive Director & CEO, GJSCI, who congratulated the candidates and encouraged them to keep learning and growing in their professional journeys. Mr. Kiran Padture, General Manager – Operations (GMO), GJSCI, was also present and spoke about GJSCI’s continued efforts towards skill development and inclusive training.

The convocation ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the candidates, marking an important milestone in their journey and reinforcing GJSCI’s commitment to building a skilled and inclusive workforce for the gem and jewellery sector.
