Tanishq has marked the Indian women’s cricket team’s World Cup triumph with a gesture that brings the entire country into the celebration. Each player has been gifted a handcrafted gold ring made from metal exchanged by households across India, symbolising a collective salute to the team’s success.

This tribute stems from Tanishq’s long-running Gold Exchange programme, which encourages people to revitalise their old jewellery regardless of its origin. Over the years, the initiative has grown into a widespread movement, enabling lakhs of Indians to renew their gold. The brand has also introduced zero-deduction exchanges across karats, making the process simpler and more inclusive.

Speaking about the achievement, Ajoy Chawla, CEO of the jewellery division at Titan, shared that the team’s win is a moment the country will remember for decades. He highlighted that each ring carries the spirit and contribution of Indian households—much like the players carry the hopes and pride of the nation.

Tanishq notes that this gesture not only applauds the champions but also reflects the ambition, resilience and stories of women across the country, deepening its commitment to supporting their journeys.
