The International Gemological Institute (IGI) honoured two distinguished leaders of India's gems and jewellery sector at the Diamond Tribute Awards held during D Show Goa 2026.
Kirit Bhansali, Chairman of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), received the Diamond Tribute Award in recognition of his role in advancing India's gems and jewellery industry on the global stage. Through his leadership, the sector has witnessed stronger international engagement, enhanced export opportunities, and greater support for industry stakeholders.
K. Srinivasan, Convener of GJEPC's Gold Panel and Chairman of Emerald Jewel Industry India Ltd., was also recognised for his longstanding contribution to the growth and development of the jewellery industry.
The awards were presented by Tehmasp Printer, Global CEO of IGI, during a special ceremony at the event.
Instituted to celebrate exceptional leadership and enduring contributions, the Diamond Tribute Awards honour individuals whose vision and commitment have played a significant role in shaping the future of the gem and jewellery industry.
