De Beers has announced the departure of Feriel Zerouki, its Chief Trade and Industry Officer and member of the Executive Committee, effective at the end of October 2025.

Since joining the company in 2005, Zerouki has played a defining role in shaping De Beers’ approach to responsible sourcing and ethical trade. She was instrumental in the creation of Tracr and GemFair, groundbreaking initiatives that have enhanced diamond traceability and transparency across the global supply chain.

Beyond her work within De Beers, Zerouki continues to influence the broader diamond sector through her position as President of the World Diamond Council, driving progress on transparency and reform within the Kimberley Process and mining-origin certification systems.

Reflecting on her journey, Zerouki said, “My time at De Beers has been an extraordinary experience. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and grateful for the people and partnerships that have shaped these two decades. I leave with pride and optimism for what comes next.”

De Beers Group CEO Al Cook expressed appreciation for her long-standing contribution, noting that her leadership and commitment to integrity have left an enduring mark on both the company and the global diamond industry.

Zerouki will continue to serve as President of the World Diamond Council until May 2026.
