Severalmaz, the Arkhangelsk-based mining arm of Alrosa, has successfully completed its diamond production programme for 2025, exceeding key operational benchmarks in a year marked by industry-wide demand challenges.
According to official figures, ore extraction surpassed expectations, reaching 102 per cent of planned volumes, while ore processing advanced even further to 104 per cent. These results confirm that the company fully delivered on its annual mining commitments.
Beyond operations, Severalmaz made a significant fiscal and social contribution to the region. More than 2.4 billion rubles were paid in taxes to the budgets of Arkhangelsk Oblast as well as the Primorsky and Mezensky districts. In addition, the company invested 50 million rubles in local social development initiatives under a regional cooperation agreement. Funding supported school renovations, restoration of heritage sites, community sports and cultural programmes, and development projects in rural settlements.
Severalmaz runs the Lomonosov Mining and Processing Plant, where it develops the Arkhangelskaya and Karpinskogo-1 kimberlite pipes. The operation represents roughly 10 per cent of Alrosa’s overall diamond output.
The performance highlights operational resilience at the regional level, even as the global diamond sector continues to face pricing and demand pressures.
