With the arrival of spring, Van Cleef & Arpels unveils a refreshed chapter of its Lucky Spring collection—an elegant reflection of nature’s quiet transformation. Rooted in themes of renewal and fortune, the collection evolves with the introduction of a new motif: the butterfly.

Joining familiar symbols like the ladybird, plum blossom, and lily-of-the-valley, the butterfly brings a renewed sense of movement and delicacy. Long present in the Maison’s design language, it now takes centre stage as a symbol of grace and metamorphosis—capturing the fleeting beauty of a season in bloom.

Since its debut in 2021, Lucky Spring has translated nature’s awakening into jewellery that feels both playful and refined. This latest evolution continues that vision, pairing soft symbolism with precise craftsmanship. For the first time, yellow gold appears alongside rose gold, adding a brighter, sunlit warmth to the collection.

Each piece is shaped using traditional lost-wax casting before being carefully polished by hand, resulting in a smooth, radiant finish. Signature beaded edges and subtle textures define each motif, allowing light to gently travel across surfaces—echoing the softness of early spring light.

Key creations include a long necklace adorned with butterfly accents and a Between the Finger ring where blossoms and buds frame a central butterfly. These designs create a sense of movement and balance, almost like a miniature garden captured in motion.

The colour palette further enhances this natural narrative. Stones such as agate, lapis lazuli, and mother-of-pearl introduce depth and luminosity, carefully selected for harmony and vibrancy. Their interplay with gold brings each piece to life, celebrating the season’s energy.

Extending beyond jewellery, the collection introduces the Lady Lucky Spring Butterfly watch. Designed as a poetic tableau, its dial features delicate floral motifs crafted in mother-of-pearl and gold. A discreet time display is revealed through a lily-of-the-valley-shaped aperture, blending function seamlessly with storytelling.

Set against a deep blue guilloché background, the dial plays with light and texture, while diamonds add a refined brilliance. At its heart lies a self-winding mechanical movement with retrograde minutes and jumping hours. A butterfly sweeps across the dial, returning to its starting point each hour—turning timekeeping into a visual narrative inspired by nature’s cycles.

The artistry continues on the reverse, where engraved foliage and enamel details echo the motifs on the front. Through this collection, the Maison once again demonstrates its ability to merge technical mastery with poetic design—bringing spring to life in the most delicate of forms.
