Gucci is bringing back one of its most recognisable timepieces — the playful bangle-style watch first launched in the 1980s. Originally known for its interchangeable bezels and fashion-forward attitude, the design quickly became a wardrobe staple for those who loved to accessorise with ease.
The 2025 version, renamed the Gucci Play, stays true to the spirit of the original while refining every detail. The colourful bezels now come in high-quality ceramic, making them more durable and resistant to scratches. Seven options are available, including vibrant reds, greens, soft pinks, navy, black and a two-tone nod to the brand’s signature palette. A new click-ball mechanism ensures the bezels swap in and out smoothly and securely.
The watch itself has been subtly updated for a stronger visual presence. A 28mm case surrounds a crisp white dial, paired with a sturdier gold-plated stainless steel bangle that feels contemporary yet timeless. Still powered by quartz, the model now offers 50-metre water resistance, adding practicality to its polished look.
Completing the revival is a spherical display case lined in green suede, designed to store the watch and its vibrant bezels together in one stylish box. The Gucci Play steps confidently into a new era — a refreshed classic ready to be stacked, styled and worn your way.
