CHANEL made a dazzling statement in Monaco as the first-ever Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie brought the world’s leading High Jewellery maisons together for an evening dedicated to artistry and excellence. The inaugural ceremony set a new benchmark for the industry, spotlighting the innovation, technique and emotion that define modern Haute Joaillerie.
This year’s highest honour — Best Piece of the Year — was awarded to CHANEL Haute Joaillerie for a creation that reimagines the maison’s heritage with striking contemporary flair. The celebrated jewel, the Sweater Prestige Necklace from the Haute Joaillerie Sport Collection, marries CHANEL’s iconic elegance with a subtle sport-inspired aesthetic. Crafted in white gold and platinum, and adorned with diamonds, onyx and 11 emerald-cut emeralds totalling 37.18 carats, the piece draws inspiration from the relaxed structure of classic sweatshirts, elevating everyday details to the realm of exceptional craftsmanship.
The Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie intends to become a yearly gathering for the global jewellery community, honouring exceptional creativity across diverse categories — from design and heritage to gemstones and emerging talent. With its debut edition, Monaco positions itself as a radiant stage celebrating the evolution, skill and imagination of High Jewellery’s most respected maisons.
