Sarine Technologies Ltd has confirmed that its Chief Executive Officer, David Block, will step down from his role on 30 June 2026, bringing to a close nearly a decade of leadership at the helm of the diamond technology company. His association with Sarine spans close to 25 years, during which he played a pivotal role in shaping its evolution.
Under Block’s leadership, Sarine significantly advanced its technological capabilities, introducing innovations across rough diamond planning, traceability, and grading. The launch of the Most Valuable Plan (MVP) system marked a key step in automating planning processes, while its traceability initiatives gained traction through the Sarine Diamond Journey™, developed alongside De Beers’ Tracr platform.
The company also deepened its footprint in grading by integrating GCAL and rolling out AI-powered solutions for assessing clarity and colour—strengthening its position in a rapidly evolving market.
Earlier in his career, Block’s tenure in India between 2006 and 2009 laid the groundwork for Sarine’s operational network, which continues to support its global presence and partnerships with major manufacturers.
