The Diamond Club West Coast (DCWC), an affiliate of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), announces that the Jewellers 24 Karat Club of Southern California (24K Club) will be officially integrated into and welcomed into the DCWC. This transition honours the 24K Club’s distinguished history while opening the door for its members to access expanded services, resources and global connections through DCWC. Together, the organisations are committed to deepening collaboration, fostering growth and strengthening the jewellery community.
Founded in 1946 and officially recognised as a WFDB affiliate in 1980, DCWC is headquartered in downtown Los Angeles within the city’s famed Jewellery District – the second largest jewellery hub in the United States. With more than 300 members and growing, DCWC is the fastest expanding club within the WFDB, which collectively handles 95% of the world’s mined diamonds. Members include diamond and gemstone dealers, jewellery manufacturers, second-hand jewellers and others with a primary focus on wholesaling to the trade.
As a 501(c)(6) non-profit, DCWC is dedicated to supporting members in building and enhancing their businesses. Member benefits include access to synthetic diamond testing equipment, mediation and arbitration services, discounted armored shipping to GIA, an exclusive WhatsApp channel for trade buying and selling, membership events and education, and much more.
The Jewellers 24 Karat Club of Southern California was founded in 1944 to promote ethical business practices and strengthen relationships across all sectors of the jewellery industry. For more than 80 years, the club has been recognised for its prestigious Annual Dinner Dance Gala in Los Angeles, while its membership has included retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, designers, appraisers, educators, publishers, service providers and leaders of nationally recognised trade associations.
“The Jewellers 24 Karat Club of Southern California has a proud history of fostering ethics and leadership within the jewellery trade,” said Kalpesh Jhaveri, President of Diamond Club West Coast. “We are honoured to carry forward its legacy and create even greater opportunities and impact for members by combining the strength, resources and global connectivity of DCWC with the traditions of the 24K Club.”
Through this integration, the history and traditions of the 24K Club will continue under the leadership of the Diamond Club West Coast, while its members will benefit from expanded services, stronger industry connections and the global reach of the organisation.
In addition, DCWC has aligned with Jewellers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewellery marketplace, to collaborate on events, resources and membership opportunities designed to further enrich the industry community and support long-term growth.
“These powerful organisational alliances reflect the spirit of unity our industry needs. Now more than ever, in an increasingly complex and uncertain world, it is essential for organisations to join forces. By coming together, we strengthen our community, expand opportunities and ensure that our members thrive for generations to come,” adds Jhaveri.
To learn more about the DCWC–24K Club integration and how businesses can benefit, members and industry professionals are invited to join a Town Hall Webinar on Thursday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. PT.
