The global natural diamond community will once again come together through sport as the third edition of the International Diamond Premier League (IDPL) takes place in Hong Kong from 19–22 March 2026.
After successful editions hosted in Belgium and India, the tournament now moves to Hong Kong, bringing together diamantaires and industry stakeholders from three of the world’s most influential diamond hubs—India, Belgium and Hong Kong. Over four days, participants will engage in competitive cricket while strengthening professional relationships within the industry.
The tournament will conclude with a Grand Opening Ceremony on 22 March 2026 at 11:00 AM at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, where industry leaders, dignitaries and invited guests will gather to celebrate the spirit of the league.
Conceived as more than a sporting event, IDPL serves as a platform that connects key players across the natural diamond pipeline. By uniting representatives from major manufacturing, trading and retail centres, the league reflects the shared ecosystem that supports the global diamond industry.
Hosting the event in Hong Kong further reinforces the city’s role as a vital link between Eastern and Western markets. The tournament aims to encourage stronger partnerships among diamantaires, manufacturers, retailers and service providers, while also highlighting the enduring value of natural diamonds—defined by their rarity, craftsmanship and emotional significance.
Alongside the matches, IDPL 3.0 celebrates the many contributors who sustain the natural diamond sector, from cutting and polishing experts to luxury jewellery houses and specialised logistics partners. The event showcases a collective commitment to trust, excellence and the long-term future of the natural diamond industry.
The Hong Kong edition is led by SimStar Asia Limited—part of the Sim Gems Group and a prominent supplier of high-quality natural diamonds—which joins the league as the Title Sponsor. Lamha Gems Limited supports the initiative as Diamond Sponsor.
Additional partners include Ferrari Group, a global leader in secure logistics for luxury goods and precious assets, participating as Platinum Sponsor. Malca-Amit Group of Companies, known for its expertise in secured transport, vaulting and trade show logistics for the diamond and jewellery sector, joins as Gold Sponsor. Hong Kong-based high jewellery house Dehres is supporting the event as Silver Sponsor, further demonstrating its commitment to the natural diamond trade.
Team sponsorship also reflects the international nature of the league. Anita Diamonds, represented by Chirag Shah, will sponsor the Belgium team, highlighting Antwerp’s vibrant diamond community. Meanwhile, the India team will be sponsored by H S Jogani under the leadership of Ronak Jogani, representing India’s longstanding influence in diamond cutting, polishing and global trade.
