LVMH has announced a significant leadership transition at Bvlgari, appointing Laura Burdese as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. She will take over from Jean-Christophe Babin, who concludes a transformative tenure of more than ten years at the helm of the Roman Maison.

Burdese brings close to a decade of experience within the LVMH ecosystem. She first led Acqua di Parma as CEO before joining Bvlgari in 2022 as Chief Marketing Officer. Since then, she has been instrumental in sharpening the brand’s global narrative, reinforcing its high-jewellery positioning, and driving strategic brand elevation. Her impact led to her promotion as Deputy CEO in July 2024, paving the way for her next role as CEO. In her new position, Burdese will report to Stéphane Bianchi, Group Managing Director of LVMH and CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewellery.

Jean-Christophe Babin, a veteran of over 25 years within the LVMH Group, leaves behind a powerful legacy. During his leadership at Bvlgari, the Maison strengthened its identity as a Roman high jewellery house, significantly expanded its watchmaking expertise, and entered the luxury hospitality arena with Bvlgari Hotels across key global destinations. His tenure also deepened the brand’s commitment to Italian savoir-faire through the expansion of the Valenza manufacturing site and the establishment of Scuola Bvlgari.

While stepping down as CEO, Babin will continue to play an active role within the brand. He will remain Chairman of the Bvlgari Board, CEO of the Bvlgari Hotels Business Unit, and President of the Bvlgari Foundation—ensuring continuity as the Maison enters its next phase of growth.
