“This venue offers a more intimate, sophisticated, and beautifully sustainable setting for our discussions, and the true magic of this move lies in a remarkable piece of shared history,” DES President and Congress Organising Committee Chair, Fabio Cascapera said.

Caspara mused that, like a diamond that takes time to reveal its true brilliance, the international diamond industry and trade’s relationship with Singapore has a deep, enduring history. In 1988, members of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) gathered in Singapore for the very first time, at the 24th World Diamond Congress. It was a milestone event that firmly placed the region on the global diamond map, sparking decades of growth and partnership. That historic first Singapore congress was held in the exact same venue—then known as the Marina Mandarin and now beautifully reimagined as the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay.

“Returning to this foundational site after nearly four decades bridges the rich heritage of our industry with the bold future we are building today. In 1988, we laid down roots here. This July, we return to the very same halls to tackle new global challenges, forge new partnerships, and create a brilliant new chapter of history. We look forward to welcoming you to a venue that is not just a backdrop for our meetings, but a living testament to our industry's enduring legacy,” Cascapera concluded.

The World Diamond Congress is the diamond industry’s foremost global gathering, held every three years biennially by the WFDB and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA). It brings together the global diamond and jewellery industry’s leadership to reflect on the significant challenges and many changes of recent years - and to shape what comes next.

The 2026 World Diamond Congress will be held in synergy with the Singapore International Jewellery Expo (SIJE). This strategic co-location creates a unique environment that blends high-level industry discourse with direct exposure to exceptional jewellery, gemstones, and timepieces - alongside collectors, buyers, and influencers from around the world.

“We encourage delegates and industry members to register and book their rooms! Our dedicated Congress website has all the relevant information to make your stay enjoyable and meaningful,” Cascapera concluded.
