Christie’s latest “Magnificent Jewels” sale in Geneva closed with a perfect result: all 115 lots sold, bringing the total to $72 million (CHF 60.5 million).

The strong performance—marked by a 100% sell-through rate—signals continued demand for exceptional, high-value jewels, even in a discerning market.

The top performer was a blue diamond ring designed by Graff, which fetched $12.7 million, exceeding expectations. Overall, more than three-quarters of the lots sold for prices above their high estimates, reflecting competitive bidding across categories.

One of the most anticipated segments of the auction was “A Bouquet of Gems: A Superb Collection of Jewels by JAR.” The collection included standout designs such as the Apricot Blossom bangle and an intricately crafted necklace, both of which drew significant interest from collectors.

Color led the charge in other top results as well. A 13.80-carat cushion-cut Kashmir sapphire ring, flanked by baguette diamonds, sold for $2.5 million—more than twice its projected high. Meanwhile, a 10.17-carat Burmese ruby with prized pigeon’s blood color reached $4.2 million, outperforming its estimate by more than five times.

The Geneva sale reinforces Christie’s leadership in the high-jewelry auction space and points to enduring global appetite for rare colored stones and iconic design.
